Enhancement to Double Booking Prevention Tool
We've added a second availability scan/check that takes place after AlleyTrak initially creates the temporary reservation for a custom. This check will re-confirm the event is not going to cause a double booking. This helps in instances where two customers are attempting to book the exact same event lanes and time, at the same time (when two reservations are created at the exact same time).
While this type of double booking is extremely rare, this additional check will avoid these occurrences.
Calendar Date Picker Enhancements
We've added new logic to the customer portal to dynamically update the Date Picker calendar tool, to visually highlight specific dates where the facility is closed. In addition, if the customer tries to select a date that the facility is closed, the customer will receive a notification message confirming for them that the facility is closed on the selected date.
In the future we plan to extend this logic even further to include event specific indicators. For example if a customer has a birthday party package selected, and that event is only available on Saturday and Sundays, the other days of the week would have a visual indicator letting the customer know this event is not offered on this date.
Additional Changes:
We've added a new time increment option for 90-minute increments (hour and a half).
We've added the ability to clone Custom Hours in the admin panel to help simplify creating a bulk number of custom hour entries.
We've fixed a bug impacting the date picker calendar in the admin panel, which was impacting the “Today” button. Clicking this button will now correctly update the date to the current date.
