AlleyTrak version 5.100.0 Introduces Multi-Activity Bookings
We've been hard at work over the last several months building new infrastructure and capabilities for AlleyTrak to support multi-activity bookings, and we're so excited to announce multi-activity bookings are now available for customer use!
Multi-Activity Bookings builds on top of package based events, and now supports the ability for you to bundle multiple activities into a single event booking. Common examples in the bowling space could include 60 minutes of bowling followed up by 45 minutes of a party room space rental, or 45 minutes of bowling followed up by 60 minutes of axe throwing.
The flexibility of multi-activity bookings will enable businesses to book more events online, increase reservation revenue, and encourage customers to use more offerings available at the facility.
Multi-Activity Bookings Versus Package Groups
Historically we've utilized Package Groups to help businesses manage availability for multi-activity bookings, like a birthday party that include bowling and party-room space usage. This had some limitations like proper resource allocation and clear communication and expectations to customers that are now solved with multi-activity bookings.
Proper Resource Allocation & Availability
Multi-activity bookings have a built-in understanding of lane/room/space availability that enables the system to reliably understand resource availability and to prevent overbooking a space because multi-activity bookings understand guests per lane/space requirements and is aware of existing reservations, reservation blocks, and hours of operation that may impact availability and booking requirements.
Clear Customer Communication
Multi-activity bookings are designed to clearly inform customers on their event details. With defined durations for each activity in the event, customers know the order of their events.
Multi-Activity Booking Restrictions
There are a few restrictions in place for multi-activity bookings. We will modify some over time based on user feedback and as we continue to enhance the capabilities.
Multi-activity bookings are currently locked to fixed durations. When creating your event offering, you must define the duration of each activity, and each activity must have a fixed duration and order.
Multi-Activity Bookings are currently locked to two locations/activities. While we built the system to support any number of  activities in a single booking, we are offering configurations limited to two activities to monitor performance and stability before increasing this limit.
Multi-Activity Bookings require you to be on the Premium or Ultimate AlleyTrak subscription due to the requirement that you need more than one location/activity.
