AlleyTrak version 5.127.0 Includes Performance Enhancements & Order Add-ons Consolidation

Add-ons Consolidation:

We've made some significant changes to add-ons in AlleyTrak. Historically AlleyTrak has had two concepts of add-ons package add-ons, and global add-ons.

Global add-ons were items available for purchase for any event. Package add-ons are items only available for the specific event. The management of package add-ons has historically been done within the package editor.

While this granularity is nice, managing these add-ons at the package level can become tedious, especially when you offer a similar add-on across multiple packages. This would mean needing to edit similar add-ons across multiple packages individually each time.

To help with the long-term management of your add-ons, we've consolidated all add-ons into the global add-on manager. In the updated add-on manager, you will now have the ability to specify which events the add-on is available for purchase.

What makes this great is that you can now have a single add-on, and apply it to one, all, or specific packages from a centralized manager.

As part of this new structure, we've migrated all existing package add-ons over to the updated global addon manager. We also consolidate existing add-ons that are an exact match of each other.

Performance Enhancements:

We're extremely excited to share that we've implemented new processes that will dramatically improve load performance for key actions in AlleyTrak, like the availability checker during the customer checkout process.

The load performance boost is dependent on how an AlleyTrak is configured. Some smaller, and tightly configured facilities will have negligible load performance boosts, but for larger facilities, they can see load times reduced by as much as 80%. Key factors include:

  • The duration of time a facility is configured as open for a day

  • The number of lanes/bays available for reservation.

  • The time increment setting used

  • The interval at which customers can book events (on the quarter-hour, half-hour, hour)
