AlleyTrak version 5.129.0 Introduces Card-on-File Payments, At-Lane Bookings, Guests Participating Definitions, and More!
Card-on-File Payments
We're extremely excited to introduce card-on-file payments to AlleyTrak. This new feature will offer facility managers to process remaining balance payments for customers with the click of a button. This process will improve the customer check-in/check-out process, enabling you to process payments much quicker.
Processing card-on-file payments is available from the following interactions in the AlleyTrak admin panel:
Charging a transaction to an existing reservation for a customer with a card on file.
Creating a new reservation for an established customer with a card on file.
Similar to our standard CardConnect/CardPointe integration, you will have full control to issue full and partial refunds for these transactions.
The card-on-file payment capability is exclusive for our CardConnect/CardPointe payment gateway users.
At-Lane Bookings + Lane Specific QR Codes
At-Lane Bookings is a new feature we are rolling out to AlleyTrak, which enables you to generate and display QR codes at specific lanes or bays for immediate bookings. This feature pairs with our existing Kiosk Mode, but goes even further by automatically scanning for availability at the specific lane/bay the customer is at.
This booking method is ideal for facilities, like golf driving ranges, looking to support a contactless experience for customers, where the customer can walk into the facility, book and pay for their event and start straight away.
Guests Participating Definitions
We've added the ability to redefine how “Guests Participating” is displayed to customers. The Guests Participating field is utilized to determine how many lanes, bays, rooms, courts, etc the booking party will need.
This new definition control will provide additional flexibility on how you present information to the customer and their booking experience.
Other Notable Changes:
Guests Participating User Interface Controls Update
We've made a small user interface enhancement to the Guests Participating control. If the event type is configured with a fixed guest count, we will automatically remove controls for increasing or decreasing the guest count. This will help keep the checkout interface clean, and avoid confusion when customers try to increase or decrease the guest count, and would normally receive a message prompt telling them they are unable to modify the count.
This enhancement pairs well with the package auto-upgrade/downgrade feature and will continue to display the user interface to modify the guests participating if the event supports auto-upgrade/downgrades.Admin Panel Dashboard - Grid-View Tracking
We've added two new scenarios where we capture and store your current scroll position when viewing working within the AlleyTrak admin panel. This enables AlleyTrak to automatically scroll back to the current time and lanes you were previously reviewing in the dashboard grid.
