AlleyTrak version 5.146.0 Introduces A new Steltronic Backfeed Process Sync Process, Text Message Code Delivery for eRange and RangeStar Ball Redemption Codes, New Customizable Sales Tax for Convenience Fees, New Relative Tax in Transaction Reports, and a Major Rework to Our Mailchimp Integration!
Steltronic Backfeed Process Sync Process
We've created a new backfeed process to send reservation details to Steltronic multiple times if the reservation is not successfully received by the Steltronic server. This process helps resolve issues where the Steltronic server is shut down or unresponsive. The backfeed process is configured to run regularly and check for events that still have yet to be received by Steltronic.
Text Message Code Delivery for eRange and RangeStar Ball Redemption Codes
We've built out a new code delivery service for the eRangee and RangeStar ball redemption codes. In addition to our email delivery system, We can now send customers with a phone number on file, A text message containing the ball redemption code(s).
Note that the eRange and RangeStar Call redemption codes are individualistic by nature, and that it is possible for a single reservation to have more than one code generated. Because of this, we've added some restrictions to only send the codes via text message, if less than five total codes are generated for a single booking.
New Customizable Sales Tax for Convenience Fees
We've added a new control related to convenience fees, that allows you to define If sales tax should be calculated for the convenience fee, and if so, how much. Historically convenience, fees were taxed at the default sales tax rate, But facilities, now have the ability to customize this where needed.
New Relative Tax in Transaction Reports
In the on-demand transaction report, we've added a new parameter for relative tax. This information will provide you with the amount collected as part of the payment that should go towards taxes. This information is helpful when generating financial reports for end of month summaries. This is advantageous over relying on the order total and order total sales tax information, as the order total and order total sales tax does not always relate to the amount of funds received/recorded as AlleyTrak payments. This is because in many situations remaining balance payments are processed through your point-of-sale and those POS systems would automatically have tax calculations accounted for.
Major Rework to Our Mailchimp Integration
We revamped our Mailchimp integration to include new features related to tracking and maintaining subscriber details over time. The changes to the system will better track and maintain the customer profile, tags associated with them in Mailchimp, and custom parameters/fields.
We've also modified the opt-in processes, to better align with Mailchimp's updated best practice recommendations. This sees AlleyTrak utilizing the subscriber status parameter to know if the user is subscribed for marketing emails, or if they are only defined as a contact for transactional-based emails.
Customers previously subscribed can book new reservations, and choose to not renew their subscription, but they will still maintain their active subscription (unless otherwise opted out). Customers can also choose to subscribe at any point in time, and this will update the Mailchimp profile to change them from a non-subscriber to a subscriber.
These changes have been applied to both AlleyTrak bookings and waiver submissions. We've also added new tags to note what aspects of AlleyTrak the customer has interacted with (AlleyTrak bookings or AlleyTrak waivers)
