AlleyTrak Version 5.167.0 Introduces a Revamped AlleyTrak API and new SelectPi Code Delivery Method
AlleyTrak API Revamp
We're excited to revamp the AlleyTrak API. This update provides significantly more data, more data filtering controls, and is significantly more efficient to load. Benchmark tests show the revamped Orders API is nearly 5x faster than the original Orders API.
The original public Orders and Transactions API remain operational and return data in their original format. These APIs will be deprecated and no longer available for facilities to begin to leverage. Existing facilities using the older APIs will be encouraged to switch to the new API endpoints.
The APIs use a different access method, and API endpoint, but the API credentials used to authenticate and make data requests remains the same.
As part of the updated API release, we've also updated the documentation hub in the AlleyTrak admin panel, which describes how you can utilize the API, and the various required and conditional fields that you can use for customized filtering.
Common use-cases facilities have for utilizing the AlleyTrak APIs:
Building custom reporting services
Integrating booking data into custom dashboards or leaderboards
Integrating with CRM or custom email marketing tools
Integrating data with financial or accounting systems
Alternative SelectPi Code Delivery Method
We've added a new method for facility staff to view and print SelectPi codes for customers. This is great in instances where the person who booked the event is not present for the event, or does not have their phone handy to pull up the SelectPi ball redemption code.
The new delivery method allows the facility staff to display and print the SelectPi ball redemption code with a connected printer.
