AlleyTrak Version 5.168.0 Introduces a Revamped Event List-View

Event List-View Revamp

This week, we're excited to launch a revamped Reservation/Event List-View in the AlleyTrak admin panel.

The updated page maintains the same core functionality as the previous version, while introducing several important improvements to how event data is retrieved, managed, and searched—especially when working with historical events.

#1: Consolidated Events API

The Event List-View now leverages the same AlleyTrak Events API used by our reporting engines and made available through the AlleyTrak public API.

While the data displayed in the Event List-View is fundamentally the same as before, consolidating these systems around a single API provides significant long-term benefits. It ensures that the underlying data structures and business logic remain consistent across AlleyTrak, while making it more efficient for us to maintain, modify, and enhance these systems over time.

In short, the Event List-View, Reporting Dashboard, and public API are now working from the same foundation.

#2: Enhanced Lookup for Historical Events

The biggest functional improvement to the revamped Event List-View is how historical events are loaded and displayed.

Previously, the Event List-View was limited to loading the 200 most recent events in bulk. If you needed to find an older event, you could use the Advanced Search feature, but searches were limited to a relatively small number of matching results.

For event details from weeks or months ago, users often had to turn to the Reporting Dashboard to locate the information they needed.

With the Event List-View now using the same API as the Reporting Dashboard, we've been able to significantly improve the process of finding older events.

You can now select a specific month, and AlleyTrak will automatically load all events that occurred during that month.

This makes it much easier to browse historical events without needing to know the customer, order number, or other specific information about the event you're trying to find.

Advanced Search Still Available

The Advanced Search tool remains available on the Event List-View for situations where you're looking for a specific event.

You can search using information such as:

• Customer name

• Customer email address

• AlleyTrak Order ID

Together, the new month-based event lookup and existing Advanced Search functionality provide a much more flexible way to find both recent and historical events directly from the Event List-View.
