Event-Specific Reservation Blocks

Reservation Blocks have always been an incredibly powerful and flexible tool in AlleyTrak, which enables facility staff to easily manage and reduce lane/bay availability dynamically for specific date ranges, dates, and during specific times of the day. With the ability to operate on recurring schedules, Blocks are very commonly used for events like leagues, tournaments, maintenance, and special events.

We're excited to now add the ability to apply reservation blocks to specific events. This new control makes it easier than ever to manage availability at the event level. Here is an example use-case:

A facility is hosting a charity event this coming Saturday from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. They want to block out the entire facility from general bookings during the time of the event, but to enable customers to book a special event/package that is available during the 12:00 - 3:00 time slot for the charity.

By creating the event-specific reservation block, the facility can disable all other event types and packages from being bookable between 12:00 - 3:00. Customers will still be able to book the standard event offerings before 12:00 PM, and after 3:00 PM but all events booked within the 12:00 - 3:00 time, would need to be the defined charity event booking opportunity.
